MEET ALL THE CANDIDATES AND WATCH FORUMS AT www.DENVERDECIDES.ORG AND ON DENVER 8 TV

Community Partnership has full array of Candidate Forums and Introductions available online and on TV.

The Coordinated Election is fast approaching and ballots are set to arrive soon. Now, Denver Decides, a community partnership for accessible and transparent elections has fully updated its website with all the candidates, community forums and ballot issues.

Denver Decides has captured numerous public events where candidates faced-off in community-based forums around the city. Each program in the series is available for viewing online at www.DenverDecides.org and will be shown on the City of Denver’s municipal television channel, Denver 8 TV, up until Election Day.

The Denver Decides partnership furthers its access to candidates by sponsoring free TV time for all candidates. Each candidate was given the opportunity to record an unedited campaign message directly addressing Denver voters. These two-minute introductory speeches can be viewed on the website and are also assembled together within their respective races and shown on Denver 8 TV nightly at 8 p.m. and week days at 4 p.m.. The various candidate forums are shown at 8:30 and 9 pm. nightly (except Saturdays)

Voters will also be asked to decide on ballot issues during this election. State Proposition 103 – a five year tax increase to fund education, and Initiated Ordinance 300 – a paid sick time-off proposal also are featured in public debates. These two are viewable on the Denver Decides website as well. They also will get play on Denver 8 TV.
The events were coordinated by partnership members headed by the League of Women Voters of Denver, and the Inter-neighborhood Cooperation group with its local Registered Neighborhood Organization members. Other additional community partners also assisted with some of the events.

All Forums and Candidate Introductions are also now available on the Web as streamed videos through the Denver video portal on www.Denvergov.org where Denver 8 also provides streaming video of city programming. View the channel live as it scheduled, or watch the various videos on demand via the Web or on your smart phone or mobile device for 24 / 7 convenience.
