Note to Councilwoman Madison

If you are still really running the City Park West Neighborhood Association through your surrogate Bryan Craig, and setting up a neighborhood meeting under false pretenses, you should probably tell him not to broadcast your emails.

Hi Bryan,

We’ve had some problems in the area of 22nd and Downing with drug dealing, loitering, etc.

We are holding a meeting on Oct 7th, 5:00 – 6:30 in the community room of Kappa Towers in the guise of meet your council person when it is really for the police to talk to residents about what they are seeing and inform them about how to call the police when they see things and so on. I know it’s late notice but I was hoping you or someone from the organization might be able to be there.

Let me know what you think.

We’re #1!

Globally, Denver is tops in Greenhouse Gas Emissions. That’s right, of all of the cities in the world, Denver is #1. Ooops.

… the scientists analyzed those variations and how climate, power generation, transportation, waste processing, and other factors contributed to the differences. Denver had the highest overall GHG emissions, with levels two to five times higher than other cities. Its high levels were due partly to its high use of electricity, heating and industrial fuels, and ground transportation, they note. Los Angeles was second on the list, followed by Toronto and Cape Town (tied for third), Bangkok, New York City, London, Prague, Geneva, and Barcelona.

Go here for the gory details.
